Share an expense tracker with family

Keep your personal book, then add a shared ledger for rent, groceries, and the electric bill. Up to 6 people can log into that ledger. Personal totals do not mix in.

Two books, not one merged life

A joint card for rent does not mean every coffee belongs in the same pile. SimpleSpend keeps personal ledgers and shared ledgers in the same list, in separate sections, so you always know which book a new charge will hit.

The personal All view stays personal. Adding up shared books is a separate, labelled destination. That avoids a surprise total that quietly includes a partner’s private spending.

Who can create it, who can log

Creating a shared ledger is a Pro feature. Once it exists, you invite people. Up to 6 members can record income and expenses and look at budgets for that ledger.

Invites do not put amounts in the title. Leaving, being removed, and deleting the ledger are separate actions with their own confirmations. This version does not transfer ownership.

What stays off the shared book

Recurring rules belong to personal ledgers in this version. Put household rent on the shared book as a normal repeating discussion for now, or keep the rule in a personal book if only one person pays the landlord and settles later.

Siri and Shortcuts also stay on personal data. Shared logging happens in the app, on that ledger, after you pick it.
